I am an affiliate of many of the products that I review and promote on this website. If you purchase a product by clicking on a link or image on this website, I may earn an affiliate commission. This is like a referral fee, and it’s usually pretty tiny–Amazon’s are around 5 percent of the purchase price, for example, so it’s not like I’m rolling in the dough here.
Instead of asking for donations to keep this site going, I simply encourage you to click on links for things you might consider buying. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, and it sends me some small portion of each dollar when you make a purchase.
Again, you should assume that I will earn a commission on any product you purchase after clicking on links or images on this website.
Does this mean I’m recommending crap just to watch the pennies roll in?
Totally not worth it. This site is meant to be a love note to urban and suburban gardeners and their gardens, not a money-making machine. Accordingly, I only recommend things that I feel represent a good value for the money you’d be spending on them. Still, your ideas about gardening tools, gardening techniques, and growing food or flowers may differ from mine, so be sure to do you own due diligence on products before you buy them–e.g. read the product details and reviews.
